The Sunset Point in Goreme is a high rock with Turkish flag you see above the eastern part of Goreme town. Cappadocia is known for its amazing sunrises, where the sky is full of hot air balloons and pastel colors. However, it is also a gem of a spot for sunsets. There are a few great sunset viewpoints in Cappadocia, but the most popular place to watch the sunset in Goreme Town is Lover’s Hill. It’s also known as Asiklar Tepesi. You may also hear it referenced as ‘Sunset Point’, which is a pretty good indication that it is THE best sunset viewpoint in Cappadocia. The interesting part about Sunset Point is that it’s also one of the best spots for sunrise to watch the hot air balloons float over the town of Goreme.
