The Coats! exhibition, which portrays the over-60-year history of the fashion house Max Mara, is finally being featured in Seoul on the heels of its incredible success in Berlin (2006), Tokyo (2007), Beijing (2009), and Moscow (2011).
The exhibition, which will be held in the DDP’s Art Hall 1 for 14 days (November 29 to December 12, 2017), will show the fascinating history of Max Mara and its coats inside a massive dome, where visitors feel as if they are looking through a kaleidoscope made up of diverse images and objet d’art.
Visitors will be introduced to the history of Max Mara, which has been at the forefront of many of the countless changes undergone by contemporary women, from the mission of founder Achille Maramotti to create the perfect coat in the 1950s to the 2010s. Based on seven different themes, WNDERKAMMER will show Maramotti’s vision and philosophy (“to make the ordinary extraordinary”) through not only coats but also diverse objet d’art, images, collection items, and audio and interactive content. ##DDP
