Hwadam(和談)Forest means a forest where you can talk friendly with others.
This is a arboretum and is also a field research facility aimed at restoring the ecosystem that establishes itself in nature for a restoration of endangered animals and plants.
It was officially opened in 2013 with 16 theme parks and 4,000 native plants are being collected and displayed.

Hwadamsup located inside the Konjiam Resort, Gyeonggi is a lesser-known fall foliage destination. The arboretum has about 480 maple trees of various species, and the trees add all different hues to the forest between October and November
Of all the 4,300 plants the arboretum includes, more than 10 percent of them are maples trees.
