Haeundae Beach is one of Korea’s hottest summer destinations, attracting over 10 million visitors every season. Its 1.5 km white sandy beach is lined with many entertaining facilities, attracting men and women of all ages from all parts of the world. Haeundae Beach has become the most popular spot for foreign tourists and vacationers from all over the country who enjoy swimming and sunbathing on a sunny beach.
If you walk all the way along the Haeundae Beach, you will eventually reach the tranquil Dongbaekseom Island. The island contains the Dongbaek Coastal Trail, an easy walking path that runs through a green forest to the beach and offers an open view of the sea and the island. In the past, the island was separated from the mainland, but now it is connected with a bridge.
The white sand of Haeundae Beach is reborn into beautiful artworks at the Haeundae Sand Festival held from May to June every year. Sand artists from all over the world display their creative works at the festival, which also offers visitors a wide variety of entertainment.
The Busan Sea Festival, held in July, is another must-visit midsummer’s night festival.
