Saigon Central Post Office is one of the most famous and iconic attractions in Ho Chi Minh City. The structure of the building is a combination of Western and Asian building style. The history of this building started when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in the late 19th century. Saigon Notre Dame Catheral is a must-visit attraction, not only by its importance but also by its obvious presence as you set foot in Ho Chi Minh City. Outside the main building, there is a small garden that has the statue of Mary - Queen of Peace. Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, built in the late 1880s by French colonists, is one of the few remaining strongholds of Catholicism in the largely Buddhist Vietnam. Located in Paris Square, the name Notre Dame was given after the installation of the statue ‘Peaceful Notre Dame’ in 1959.
