It is a mosque located in the Eminenu of Istanbul and was built during the reign of Schleiman I of the Ottoman empire.
The Rüstem pasha mosque was designed by Ottoman architect Mimar sinan for Rüstem pasha, son-in-law of Princess Mihrimah, daughter of King Schleiman I.
After the death of Lüstem Pasha in July 1561, mosque was built from 1561 to 1563.
