Nothing like the "Troca", incomparable balcony to greet as a neighbor the "Iron Lady" who stands opposite, on the other bank of the Seine. Between the curved wings of the colossal Palais de Chaillot, emblem of the thirties, the gently sloping terraces and gardens, lined with Caucasian walnut trees and century-old hazelnut trees, are strewn with gilded bronzes. Skaters and skaters zigzag along the water jets of the 20 cannons of the large pool, under the gaze of Apollo and Hercules, carved on the pediment of the pavilions.

Place de la Concorde is located at the foot of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. It is distinguished today by the Luxor Obelisk (3,300 years old with J-C and erected in May 1998), by the prestigious hotels that border it and by the two monumental fountains (Fountain of the Seas and Fountain of the Rivers). Created in 1772, the Place de la Concorde was first known to have been one of the places of execution during the French Revolution. Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette (among others) were guillotined there. It was between 1836 and 1846 that the architect Jacques-Ignace Hittorf shaped the square to become the one we know today.
