Since Rokkatei was founded in 1933, fundamental policy has been to make delicious sweets, to establish and maintain stores that are a delight to shop in, to enrich people's lives, and to flourish. Embraced by the natural gift of the northern land of Hokkaido, they will continue to create sweets that deliver the sensations of seasonal blessings to our customers.
Their first best-selling product was the "Hitotsu-nabe" ("Shared Pot"), which came out in 1952.Named after a famous phrase composed by Benzo Yoda, the pioneering forefather of the Tokachi region, who said that "cultivating the land starts with pigs and one pot to share between us all, human and animal alike", these monaka wafer cakes are modeled in the shape of a cooking pot and was supplied to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the settlement of Obihiro.
Expressing respect for the history and landscape of Hokkaido and our forefathers is the concept of our product development, and it also became the starting point of Rokkatei as a company.

The Bunkyodo Sohonten was opened in 1900 (Meiji 33) by "Yasugoro Nakagawa" in Maruyama-cho, Nagasaki City as "Bunkyodo".
For about 120 years since then, they have been making efforts to improve the quality of castella with the aim of "making sweets that please everyone" while paying particular attention to the quality of castella.
They believe that providing even more delicious, safe, and best service to sweets loved by customers is the goal of all employees of the Bunkyodo Head Office.
Inheriting the founder's will from generation to generation, the Bunkyodo Sohonten will draw dreams again and make them come true.

Asakusa Chochinmonaka is a store that specializes in "Ice Cream Monaka and Anko Monaka" that opened in 2000.
Monaka was baked in the image of Kaminarimon, which is also the origin of the name.
Like Kaminarimon, which is also a symbol of Asakusa, we hope that the restaurant will be loved by everyone.
On Asakusa Nakamise Street, a approach road frequented by people from Japan and abroad, we propose a one-handed style so that you can enjoy sightseeing with ice cream in hand.

Get a fee or old-school Tokyo at one of Japan's oldest shopping streeets, Nakamise-dori, which dates back to the 17th century. Most shops in this arcade have been run by the same famillies for several generations, serving souvenirs, top-class street food and irresistibel snacks.
Don't miss the chance to try some of the city's best street food all in one place. Ningyoyaki-little sponge cakes filled with red bean paste and shaped like famous Asaskusa landmarks-and freshly toasted sembei crackers are two lacal favorites. Follow your nose to find juicy fried meat croquettes, sweet melon pan bread or cooling matcha ice cream among the stalls.
