The legacy of Song Fa started in 1969 with a humble pushcart from which founder, Mr. Yeo Eng Song, served piping hot bowls of this traditional Teochew dish. For hours under the hot sun, he served bowl after bowl of piping hot Bak Kut Teh to the tables gathered by his pushcart. The bak kut is running out, he thought. It was time to get more meat from the chiller at his friend’s liquor stall down the road.
These were the humble beginnings of Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. They have come a long way from one food cart on the street. Yet their pushcart icon reminds them what they are about, an original Bak Kut Teh experience: tender, fall-off-the-bone pork ribs; hot, flavourful, spicy-peppery soup; a 1960s roadside dining ambience. At Song Fa, the heritage of Bak Kut Teh lives on in its truest sense.

1.Bacha Coffee was named after a palace in Marrakech, Morocco.
Bacha Coffee’s story started in 1910 in the spectacular Dar el Bacha palace, which means “house of the Bacha”.
A bacha is a title of a high-ranking officer in the Ottoman Empire and North Africa.
The Dar el Bacha Palace has hosted guests such as Charlie Chaplin, Colette and Maurice Ravel, and even statesmen Franklin Roosevelt
and Winston Churchill.
2. There are over 200 Arabica coffees to choose from.
With pure Arabica coffees sourced from over 30 of the most well-reputed coffee producing countries, the Bacha Coffee library
is an excellent starting point to discover the world’s best harvests.
There are four types of pure Arabica coffee beans available: single origin, blended, flavoured and decaffeinated. Each of the 200 coffees are freshly roasted. You have the option of purchasing whole beans or having them ground to your preferences..
3. Each coffee harvest is hand-roasted separately.
Bacha Coffee’s beans are roasted at low temperatures in drum roasters using traditional slow methods. As each coffee variety requires a different degree of roasting, harvests are hand-roasted separately to ensure quality.

The beauty of nature beckons visitors to the Flower Dome in Bay South Gardens. Covering 1.28 hectares, this verdant space is the larger of three cooled conservatories, and broke the Guinness World Record as the World’s Largest Glass Greenhouse in 2015. It is home to plants and flowers from five continents, from thousand-year old olive trees to magnolias and orchids.
- Cloud Forest -
Gardens by the Bay’s third conservatory—the aptly named Cloud Forest—is a mist-filled landscape of rare vegetation and dramatic vistas.
