The popular sightseeing spot Meganebashi (spectacles bridge) was built by Mokusu Nyojo, a monk of Tang, in 1634. It is called Meganebashi because its two arches and their reflection in the water create the image of a pair of spectacles. The bank of the river is developed to be a park called Nakashimagawa Park which has weeping willows tastefully laid out. The promenade along the river is a great place to stroll around. This place is lit up until 22:00 at night creating a unique, magical atmosphere.
It is said that if you find a heart stone, love will come true, so it is a famous place where many lovers visit.
