Today, in the area where the city of Hierapolis is located, the pleasure and happiness of swimming in the thermal waters embraced by historical buildings is completely different. The waters coming out of the karst areas that create the travertines; The lime solution in it has precipitated as a result of evaporation and the decomposition of carbon dioxide in the water. Usually white in color and resembling cotton piles, limestone tuffs form the Pamukkale travertines. The therapeutic properties of Pamukkale thermal water have been understood since ancient times, and its healing qualities have been scientifically proven centuries later. Pamukkale, which is included in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List and carefully protected, offers many alternative treatment opportunities to its visitors with its healing thermal waters.
