The museum area realistically recreates scenes from Anpanman’s world, with daily stage shows and meet-and-greets with Anpanman and his friends, and also plenty of fun playground equipment.
In the first-floor shopping mall, there are many limited goods and food that can only be found here. There is also a restaurant with a dine-in area. Uncle Jam's Bakery is one of the most popular shops for its wide selection of character-themed bread.

The Ghibli Museum is about a 15-minute walk along the Tamagawa Josui from the south exit of JR Mitaka Station. Along the Tamagawa Josui, there is an information sign pointing in the direction of the museum.
