Jangneung Royal Tomb is a historic royal burial site located in Yeongwol. It is the tomb of King Danjong, the sixth king of the Joseon Dynasty. King Danjong of Joseon ascended to the throne at a young age but was later dethroned by his uncle, King Sejo of Joseon. After being exiled to Yeongwol, Danjong tragically died there. Jangneung was later established as his royal tomb, honoring his legacy.
The tomb is set in a serene natural landscape surrounded by mountains and forests, reflecting traditional Korean royal tomb architecture, which harmonizes with nature based on Confucian principles. Visitors can explore the burial mound, stone statues, and ceremonial pathways that represent the dignity of a king.
Today, Jangneung is part of the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty, recognized by UNESCO for their historical and cultural significance. It is a peaceful and meaningful destination where visitors can learn about Korean history while enjoying the beauty of nature.

The forest has kept its natural condition unopened to the public throughout the Japanese occupation, liberation, war, and industrialization.
Ahopsan Forest in Gijang-gun, Busan, is a place that was not open to the world for 400 years. The place became known to the world after becoming the filming location for the movie Kundo: Age of the Rampant in 2014. In 2016, the owners who managed the forest for 400 years decided to open the place to the public. The forest was designated as a green belt and water source conservation area for a long time, preserving the healthy natural environment and ecosystem.
The represented place is bamboo habitat. There are two bamboo forests within nine mountains. The Maengjongjuk Forest is the first one encountered along the trail. Go into the dense bamboo forest and look up to the sky to see the glistening sunlight between the leaves. The second bamboo forest is a flat bamboo field known as the bamboo tree–lined trail. The bamboo forest densely populates both sides of the path to block most light, allowing visitors to take a stroll.

Cheonggyesan Mountain surrounds Seoul Grand Park, Seoulland and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Gwacheon. The mountain boarders the area of Yangjae-dong, Seoul and Gwacheon-si, Seongnam-si, and Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do, and is located next to Gwanaksan Mountain, south of downtown Gwacheon. The mountain is said to have been the home of Joyun, a faithful member of the Goryeo dynasty, after the Joseon dynasty was founded. There is another myth that the mountain is where a blue dragon ascended to heaven, earning the mountain the nickname Cheongnyongsan.
Dense forests, neat valleys, parks, and temples are available in the mountain, making it a suitable attraction for families. There are also many walking courses in varying levels of difficulty.

Jirye Artist Town. a 45-minute drive mostly on an unpaved road east of Andong City in Kyongsang-pukto, is nestled in the midst of rich mountainous flora and pristine forests.

After you buy a bus ticket in Andong Intercity Bus Terminal, get on the bus at platform 6 or 10 and get off at Imdong. Make sure you're checking it is going to Lim Dong or not when you board.
