The town of Civita di Bagnoregio stands on a small hill, dominating from above the valleys of the two small torrents Torbido and Chiaro , the feature that immediately catches the eye when observing the small hamlet, and for which the town is so famous in the whole world, is to rise in the valley of gullies and to be in an isolated position with respect to the rest of the other countries, the reason being that the clayey hill on which Civita di Bagnoregio was born has undergone for centuries a very strong erosion due to atmospheric phenomena, and crumbling slowly and inexorably, the town is today almost totally uninhabited and can only be accessed by means of a single road, made of concrete.
The view from the belvedere, the only starting point for reaching the town of Civita di Bagnoregio on foot, is breathtaking… a narrow concrete road leads, climbing towards the end, to a fairytale village that seems to be suspended between myth and history, a magical and mystical place, ancient houses that rise around the main square, where the Church of San Donato stands, and others facing the valley of the gullies, giving the visitor a unique view of its kind, with the sensation of being suspended in the void, supported by some mysterious force that still today guards this village.
BY CAR:

from the north – Motorway A1 direction Rome, exit at Orte, continue for Viterbo, exit at Bagnaia-Montefiascone, take the provincial road Teverina in the direction of Bagnoregio
BY TRAIN:

BY PLANE:
For those who want to reach Civita di Bagnoregio by plane, the nearest airport is Rome-Fiumicino. From the airport, you can reach Orvieto by train and Bagnoregio by bus.
Civita di Bagnoregio can not be reached by car, but only on foot, along the bridge that connects the village to Bagnoregio. From the parking lot, the walk takes about 10 minutes.

The Duomo di Napoli is the cathedral of Naples, also called 'Cattedrale di San Gennaro'. The Duomo is the largest church in the city of Naples. The Catholic Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta (or Duomo di Napoli, or Cattedrale di San Gennaro) was built in the 13th century and is located in the heart of Naples. The Naples Cathedral is known as one of the most beautiful and impressive buildings in the city. This is partly due to the mixture of different architecture. From pure 14th century Gothic to 19th century Gothic. In front of the church you look out over a square surrounded by porticos and two buildings on the side of the cathedral, which are as important as the cathedral itself.
Royal Chapel of San Gennaro
In the right part of the Duomo is the Royal Chapel of San Gennaro (Saint Januarius), which houses relics of saints which are displayed three times a year. This chapel dates from the 17th century, in a very beautiful Baroque style. Every year people look forwardand with great attention to the liquefaction of the patron saint's blood.

The Royal Palace of Naples is a historic building located in Piazza del Plebiscito , in the historic center of Naples , where the main entrance is located: the entire complex, including the gardens and the San Carlo theater , also overlooks Piazza Trieste and Trento , piazza del Municipio and via Acton.
The Royal Palace was built starting from 1600, to reach its definitive appearance in 1858: numerous architects took part in its construction and related restoration works, such as Domenico Fontana , Gaetano Genovese , Luigi Vanvitelli , Ferdinando Sanfelice and Francesco Antonio Picchiatti .
It was the residence of the Spanish and then Austrian viceroys from the mid-17th century to 1734, of the Bourbon dynasty from 1734 to 1860, with the interlude of the French Decade from 1806 to 1815, and finally, following the unification of Italy in 1861, of the Savoys [2] . Transferred in 1919 by Vittorio Emanuele III of Savoy to the state property, it is mainly used as a museum complex, in particular the Royal Apartments, and is the seat of the National Library .

The Gallery occupies the entire first and second floors of the large building built between 1560 and 1580 on a project by Giorgio Vasari: it is one of the most famous museums in the world for its extraordinary collections of ancient sculptures and paintings (from the Middle Ages to the modern age). The collections of paintings of the fourteenth and Renaissance contain some absolute masterpieces of art of all times: just remember the names of Giotto, Simone Martini, Piero della Francesca, Beato Angelico, Filippo Lippi, Botticelli, Mantegna, Correggio, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, as well as masterpieces of European painting, especially German, Dutch and Flemish. No less important in the panorama of Italian art is the collection of statuary and busts of antiquity of the Medici family. The collection graces the corridors of the Gallery and includes ancient Roman sculptures, copies from lost Greek originals.

A masterpiece of Gothic architecture, the Doge’s Palace is an impressive structure composed of layers of building elements and ornamentation, from its 14th and 15th century original foundations to the significant Renaissance and opulent Mannerist adjunctions. The structure is made up of three large blocks, incorporating previous constructions. The wing towards the St. Mark’s Basin is the oldest, rebuilt from 1340 onwards. The wing towards St. Mark’s Square was built in its present form from 1424 onwards. The canal-side wing, housing the Doge’s apartments and many government offices, dates from the Renaissance and was built between 1483 and 1565.
he Doge’s Palace was the heart of the political life and public administration of the Venetian Republic. Therefore, when the Republic fell in 1797, its role inevitably changed. Venice was firstly subjected to French rule, then to Austrian, and ultimately, in 1866, it became part of a united Italy. Over this period, the Palazzo Ducale was occupied by various administrative offices and housed important cultural institutions such as the Biblioteca Marciana (from 1811 to 1904). By the end of the 19th century, the structure was showing signs of decay and the Italian government set aside significant funds for an extensive restoration. Many original 14th century capitals were removed and substituted and the originals now form the collection in the Museo dell’Opera. All public offices were moved elsewhere, with the exception of the State Office for the Protection of Historical Monuments, which is still housed in the building, but under the current name of Superintendence of the Environmental and Architectural Heritage of Venice and its Lagoon. In 1923, the Italian State, owner of the building, appointed the City Council to manage it as a public museum. In 1996, the Doge’s Palace became part of the Civic Museums of Venice network.
