Villa Comunale Park is an absolute must for any visit to Sorrento and its central position is such that you're unlikely to miss it.
Located in the town centre, this small park offers beautifully-manicured gardens and one of the best views in southern Italy.
From the park's terrace you can gaze out on to the Gulf of Naples with its landmarks on the horizon such as the islands of Ischia and Procida with the imperious Mount Vesuvius looming in the background.

The Royal Palace of Naples is a historic building located in Piazza del Plebiscito , in the historic center of Naples , where the main entrance is located: the entire complex, including the gardens and the San Carlo theater , also overlooks Piazza Trieste and Trento , piazza del Municipio and via Acton.
The Royal Palace was built starting from 1600, to reach its definitive appearance in 1858: numerous architects took part in its construction and related restoration works, such as Domenico Fontana , Gaetano Genovese , Luigi Vanvitelli , Ferdinando Sanfelice and Francesco Antonio Picchiatti .
It was the residence of the Spanish and then Austrian viceroys from the mid-17th century to 1734, of the Bourbon dynasty from 1734 to 1860, with the interlude of the French Decade from 1806 to 1815, and finally, following the unification of Italy in 1861, of the Savoys [2] . Transferred in 1919 by Vittorio Emanuele III of Savoy to the state property, it is mainly used as a museum complex, in particular the Royal Apartments, and is the seat of the National Library .

In 1947 after the war, when it was not easy to find traditional materials, Guccio Gucci and the Florentine artisans of the Maison decided to use bamboo, light and resistant, for the handle of a new bag, giving life to a real emblem.
